Radiation Safety Certification
Description of course:
This is a 32-hour course designed to meet the regulations and standards set forth by the Dental Board of CA. Radiation Safety Certification is designed for all
members of the “Dental Healthcare Team.” This course offers both didactic
(theory) and clinical hands-on application of radiation safety. The course includes:
Infection control, radiation safety techniques, processing and evaluation.
Each participant must provide the following:
- 1- box -ray film, single packet for practice on Dxttr manikin
- 1-box Kodak Insight or E speed #2 double pack film with barrier (polypack).
(Double film packets are for patient use.)
- 1-Sanp-ray film holder, bitewing loops and stabs.
- Participants must provide 4-patients with Rx from DDS requesting a FMX.
Paper work needed for each patient and a list of required supplies and dress code
will be mailed when registration and payment is received.
No advanced study material is given or mailed to participant.
If a participant does not pass the course, there is no refund or credit given on the
next radiation safety course.
